Abstract

Abstract A hybrid domain decomposition method is employed to analyze the electrical properties of power distribution networks of electronics systems. The method is based on an integral equation approach that allows the independent modeling of various components of the power distribution network and is characterized by its modularity and computational efficiency. An overview of the proposed methodology is given and case studies are presented to evaluate the system’s dependence on different parameters, such as geometrical dimensions, material properties, loss mechanisms and the parameters. Keywords Power distribution network, electronics packages, integral equation approach, segmentation, domain decomposition, input impedance, loop inductance
