ASQED Microelectronic Olympiad

The ASQED Microelectronics Olympiad is an educational contest intended to spotlight engineering students and young engineers active in the field of microelectronics. The Olympiad consists of a written test covering a variety of topics related to digital and analog circuit design. The competition will take place during the 5th Asia Symposium on Quality Electronic Design (ASQED 2013) event on Aug. 26th in Penang Malaysia.Topics included in the Olympiad:

  • Digital IC Design and Testing
  • Analog and Mixed Signal IC Design and Testing
  • Semiconductor Devices and Technology
  • Mathematical and Algorithmic Issues of EDA

The top ranking participants of the ASQED Microelectronics Olympiad will receive an award from ISQED and all registered attendees who complete the full test will receive a certificate of participation. The first place winner will also have the option to participate in an advanced competition at the International Microelectronics Olympiad in Armenia, where all his/her travel expenses will be paid by the Armenia Olympiad Committee.

 

Who can participate?

Students and engineers under the age of 28 .

 

When and where is the event?

Aug. 26, 2013 Test Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm Location: Eastin Hotel, Penang Malaysia Results will be announced during plenary session on Aug. 28th.
